You already know the pattern
- what you don't have yet is why.

When you have why,
you have a way forward.

Maybe it's the low hum of stress that never quite switches off, the overthinking that is only quiet when you're too busy to overthink, the self-criticism that runs underneath everything, the feeling of being on edge or reactive in ways you're not proud of. Sometimes it lasts an afternoon, sometimes days or weeks at a time. It lifts, and then somewhere down the line, it comes back.

You've probably wondered whether this is just who you are - whether you're someone who finds things harder than other people seem to, or whether you'll ever escape this cycle, if there's actually something that could shift - not just managed, but genuinely changed.

There is. And the reason it keeps coming back isn't a flaw in you - it's a pattern being produced by your brain and nervous system, one that can be understood and, with the right knowledge, fundamentally shifted. Once you understand how your mind actually works, you can't un-know it, and that's where real, lasting change begins.

I understand how people work the way an engineer understands how planes work - not just in theory, but in the kind of depth that comes from a lifetime of immersion in it.

How I work

Most people arrive not quite knowing how to describe what's wrong. Through careful listening, psychoeducation and coaching, we find the shape of the problem together - and then we change it. Not through willpower or habit alone, but through the kind of understanding that permanently shifts how you see yourself.

  • The first thing I do is listen to get a real picture of what's actually going on. What you describe, how you describe it, what you leave out, where you hesitate - all of it tells me something. Gradually, together, the shape of the problem becomes clearer.

At some point - and this is often the first real shift - I'll introduce the science behind what you're experiencing. Not as a lecture, but as an explanation: here is what is happening in your brain and nervous system, here is why this pattern exists, here is why it has persisted. For most people, this moment brings a particular kind of relief. Not because the problem disappears, but because it has a name. And when something has a name, it is no longer just something happening to you - it becomes something that can be understood, and with understanding, changed.

But knowledge alone is rarely enough. If it were, we would all simply think our way out of our patterns - and we know from experience that we can't. Humans are complicated, and the gap between knowing something and actually living differently is where most approaches fall short.

This is where the coaching relationship becomes the work. Through honest conversation, careful reflection, and a quality of attention that most of us rarely receive, something deeper begins to shift - not just your understanding of yourself, but your relationship with yourself. The way you speak to yourself, the way you perceive what happens to you and around you, the way you choose to respond rather than simply react - are the freedoms that change your life. This is how knowledge gets encoded - neuroplastically - into your lived experience. Not through receiving the information alone, but through the experience of being genuinely seen, challenged and supported through the process of change.

Ways to work with me

❋ 1:1 Coaching

One-to-one work provides the circumstances for deep and lasting change to happen. On commencing coaching, sessions are weekly because meaningful change requires consistency. Learning yourself is not unlike learning a language: how far would you get if you practised for an hour or two a month?

I recommend giving the work enough time to take root - meaningful change rarely happens in a single session - but you are never committed to a fixed number. The pace is always yours. Some clients work with me intensively over several months, others move to a fortnightly or monthly check-in once the foundation is in place.

❋ The Space to Choose

8-WEEK NEUROSCIENCE-BASED GROUP PROGRAMME

For people living in the most cognitively and emotionally intense phase of their lives who want to cope better - not by slowing down, but by operating more effectively. Over eight weeks, in a small closed group of six to eight people, you will develop the understanding and the skills to create space between what you experience and how you respond - so that for the first time, you get to choose.

Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:00pm  ·  Starts 12th May 2026  ·  £360 for full programme

❋ Talks and Education

I translate complex psychology and neuroscience into accessible, actionable understanding - for organisations, events, and communities who want to give their people something genuinely useful.

From June until October 2026 I am in residency at a longevity farmstay on the Greek island of Ikaria, contributing to their retreat programme. I am available for remote talks and online sessions during this time - and available for in-person events from November 2026.
